A Message from Matt about Elevate.....
Since 1990, Port Orange Christian Church has existed to Elevate Christ and His influence in Port Orange and the surrounding communities. As I am sure all of you have noticed, we have outgrown our current facility and ultimately this campus as well. We have over the last few years creatively squeezed more and more out of this resource that the Lord has blessed us with. We have removed walls, added chairs, stretched, and pushed in all sorts of directions; so that we could expand further for His Kingdom. We also began Saturday night services in October. All our efforts have been in an attempt to keep up with the opportunities that God has presented and continues to present.
The purpose of the Elevate campaign is to increase Christ's impact in this community. We have maximized the usage of our current facility, and now we are looking to relocate to a larger campus and building. Though the Lord has not yet revealed to us the precise location of our future property, we feel compelled by Him to move forward in faith in an effort to prepare ourselves for His revelation. This relocation and building will place POCC in a better position to reach more and more people for Christ, and to reach this community in ways that we could not imagine.
As we move into this season of sacrifice over the next 36 months, we are asking everyone to pray that God will do even greater things at POCC through our generous giving and hard work. Thank you for your prayers and support.

The Purpose of Elevate:
The ultimate purpose of Elevate is to equip POCC to continue reaching unchurched people in our community in the most effective ways possible. This is not just a attempt to raise money. This entire effort is about winning people to Christ by...CONNECTING PEOPLE TO CHRIST, OTHERS, AND THE WORLD. It is about creating the best opportunity to continue to share the message of Christ with people around us and make an external difference in lives both locally and globally.
What Will be Asked of Me?:
As a part of our commitment to Christ and our ministry in His church, we will ask every family and individual related to our church to consider making a sacrificial financial commitment over and above their regular giving. This gift will be given over a three year period of time. No one will ever be pressured to give, nor will anyone be told what he or she should give. We want everyone to experience the joy of being generous to God in a sacrificial manner and the blessings that He always gives back to us. Our desire is for you to pray, pray, pray....and ask God to reveal what He would have you give.
How Will I Know How Much to Give?:
Everyone has different incomes and assets, so through prayer, ask God to reveal to you what He would have you give. We encourage "EQUAL SACRIFICE. NOT, EQUAL GIFT." A good definition of sacrifice is "giving up something you love, for something you love more." So, ask God to reveal this to you, and ask for Him to strengthen your faith that He will help you to fulfill that commitment.
