The purpose of Florida Christian College is to conduct a course of study to educate men and women for Christian service, to provide a program of instruction on the college level, to grant appropriate degrees, and to serve as a resource to the churches, especially in Florida.

NFCC and its staff seek to create an atmosphere that helps both youth and adults to focus their attention on Jesus.  Their programming is geared toward helping people to make decisions in their Christian walk.  NFCC works with the churches in north Florida to provide summer programs and year round use of the camps facilities for retreats, etc.

Palmetto House

 

Palmetto House is a transitional housing facility for the homeless.  It provides goal setting, counseling, and educational services to assist homeless families and individuals in becoming self-sufficient.  POCC helps provide meals on Sunday and Monday evenings.  

If you are interested in helping with this outreach, you can help in the following ways:

1)  Prepare part of a meal: Main dish/Meat, Side (ex. potatoes, noodles, rice, etc.), vegetable or salad, or dessert.

2)  Help serve the meal: 

Sunday 5pm

Monday 6pm

Halifax Urban Ministries

 


POCC works with HUM to provide meals to the homeless on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays of the month from 8:30am-1:00pm.

Mid-India Christian Mission

 

Vivek and Angela Lall joined the Mid-India Christian Mission in 1993.  Their ministry includes Evangelistic Outreach, Translation Work and Ministry to disabled children. Currently they are constructing a Women's Abortion Alternative Clinic, as well as a self sustaining village for disabled adults, called Ashram.

As He Is

 

As He Is (Association of Health Institutions and Services of USA), is a not-for-profit medical mission institution.  1 John 4:17 "AS HE IS, so are we in this world."  As He Is exists to support the preaching of the Gospel to those who seek treatment in Zimbabwe Christian Hospitals and other health institutions in Zimbabwe.  As He Is also seeks to support Christian growth as well as new church development.  Their goal is to provide the best health care possible to those entering their doors so that through that care, they will see Jesus' compassion and praise God because of it.

His Seed Sowers, Haiti, was one of the first mission's supported by POCC.  Since its beginning, they have grown from two churches to seven churches, one school to five schools, they now have a radio station and a drill team, The Brigade.  Please pray for Emmanuel Desrosiers and his family as they minister in Haiti.

New Mission Systems International- Australia

 

Jesse and Cynthia Frame and their family are Missionaries in Newcastle, Australia. Their vision is to build a community of disciples through their work at the Charlestown Church of Christ.  Their purpose is to recruit, train, and release into ministry the people of Australia.

Partners in Missions

 

Ray and Pam Trantham have been living and working in Odessa, Ukraine as full-time missionaries since 1995. Their main work is that of training national leaders for ministry by teaching at Odessa Theological Seminary. Their goal is to use the training they have received to equip Ukranians to evangelize and Minister to their own country.

Merendon Mountain Mission

 

Toby and Amy Hill  have been missionaries at Merendon Mountain Missions, Honduras, since June of 1998. Their ministry started with a medical clinic and a 40 seat church building and has expanded to a 150 seat church building, two other churches, and four house churches.  Amy Hill provides medical care in Honduras at the Penitas base church/clinic, which opens many doors for their ministry.

International Disaster Emergency Services

 

The purpose of IDES is to bring glory to God by bringing help and hope to our hurting world.  POCC has partnered with IDES to take two missionary trips to Slidell, LA and Pearlington, MS to help build homes for those devastated by hurricane Katrina.  We are currently working on going on a missions trip with IDES to help in the efforts in Haiti.
