Through this time of recovery and rebuilding in Haiti Port Orange Christian Church is committed to finding ways to mobilize people, supplies, and resources in an effort to do as much as we can to help. We are currently awaiting information from IDES, International Disaster Emergency Services, in regards to making a trip to Haiti in an effort to support our missionaries that are currently there working and serving alongside Haitian recovery teams.

     Right now we have been able to secure many resources and items that will be a great help to the Haitian people and we are currently make an intentional effort to spread the word that we are collecting any and all items that will help in the recovery effort.  We have recently received a bulk trailer from a local business, that we have placed on our property that will allow us to securely store and sort items as we prepare them for shipping to Haiti.

     If you would like to help in this effort we will accept items during regular business hours Monday - Thursday and anytime Sunday morning.  We will also have a container that will be placed on the porch of the church that will be emptied and sorted each night that you can use if you are not able to make it by during the day or Sunday morning.

     Items that would be of great help: First Aid, over the counter medications, toiletries, clothing, baby diapers and wipes, and food items that can be easily prepared or are ready to eat.  

Financial donations can also be made through the International Disaster Emergency Services on their website.
